CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)
Back to programs
The Youth Service Bureau recruits and trains volunteers
to be the eyes and ears of the court as Court Appointed Special
Advocates. Serving as a child’s
voice in court, a CASA looks after the needs of abused and neglected
children who are in state custody.
CASA volunteers are ordinary citizens who have an extraordinary
interest in children’s rights, voicing their beliefs of what is in the
child’s best interest.
A CASA is a:
- Fact
Finder
- Observer
& Reporter
- Monitor
- Service Advocate
