 The
Youth Service Bureau is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the
belief that strong youth and families are the cornerstone of a strong
community. Founded in 1981 to answer the needs of at-risk youth and
families, the YSB continues to provide prevention and early intervention
programs enabling troubled youth to choose a new direction and become
responsible community members.
The Youth Service Bureau also fosters quality advocacy efforts to ensure
that all children in our community have safe and permanent homes. Referrals
are made by concerned parents, school teachers, counselors, judges, the
District Attorney, mental health professionals, representatives from state
agencies, and troubled youth.
With offices in Covington, Slidell, Franklinton, and Bogalusa, the YSB serves St. Tammany and Washington
Parishes.
Mission
The mission of the Youth Service Bureau is to
